Automatic Polymer Preparation Units

Automatic Polymer Preparation Units

Automatic polymer preparation systems are advanced machinery utilized in water treatment facilities and other industrial operations that employ polymers to facilitate the process of flocculation and coagulation. These systems are specifically engineered to precisely and effectively create polymer solutions or emulsions from either dry or liquid polymer feedstocks and transport them to the treatment process. Two or three cylindrical chambers, connected hydraulically via overflow passages, make up the pre-assembled polymer unit. These chambers are used for dosing, maturation, and storage of either liquid or powdered polymer solutions. Also, for reliable results, two motorized stirrers agitate the mixture.

Features of our design

Completely Automated process: The process if fully automated which means it requires no operator. This as a result saves labor costs and additionally would prevent errors or operational stops.

Standardized results: As a result of automation in the process the concentration, maturation time and homogeneity of the resultant polymer would be consistent.

Compact design: The APPU are easily movable to different locations and installation of them into your process is very seamless.

Reliable and optimised process: Due to its automated design the system has a bunch of inbuilt sensors to detect situations like overflow. Additionally, the process is regulated with level switches which can feed process information to the alarms resulting in a safe environment.

How does it Work

These devices can handle powdered, liquid, and concentrated polymer emulsions. Raw material is stored in tanks or containers and may need to be diluted or blended before being fed to the preparation system.

Mixing and Dilution

Water or a solvent is added to polymer feedstock to generate a solution or emulsion of the desired concentration. Polymer dilution is exact and consistent in automated polymer preparation systems using precision metering pumps, mixers, and controllers

Chemical Dosing and Control

Diluted polymer solution is added to the treatment procedure at the right dose. Advanced control systems monitor flow rate, turbidity, and polymer demand and adjust polymer dosage to improve treatment efficacy.

Safety and monitoring

Automatic polymer preparation systems provide leak detection, overflow protection, and emergency shutdown devices to avoid spills and ensure safety. They also use instrumentation and sensors to monitor the system and give operators quick feedback..

Integration with Treatment Processes

seamlessly integrate into water treatment or industrial processes. They can work with clarifiers, thickeners, dewatering centrifuges, and filtration systems.

Applications

Municipal water treatment plants use systems to produce drinking water and treat wastewater. Polymers improve clarifying, sedimentation, and filtering by removing suspended particles, organic compounds, and other contaminants.

Industries that produce wastewater with high suspended particles, oils, or metals must treat it. Proper wastewater discharge or reuse requires this treatment. Automatic polymer preparation systems improve settling tanks, DAF units, and other treatment activities in pulp and paper, mining, food processing, and chemical manufacturing.

Polymer flocculants improve belt filter presses, centrifuges, and screw presses for sludge dewatering. Automated polymer preparation systems ensure precise polymer distribution to improve sludge conditioning and dewatering.

Oil and gas producers use automatic polymer preparation systems to treat produced water, fracking wastewater, and drilling muds. Polymers improve oil, solids, and water separation in sedimentation, flotation, and filtration.
